What is a hair system?
A hair system (also called a hairpiece, toupee, or hair unit) is a non-surgical hair replacement solution. It's a custom or stock base made of lace, polyurethane, or monofilament with real human hair (or synthetic hair) attached. The base is bonded to your scalp with medical-grade adhesive and looks completely natural.
Can people tell I'm wearing a hair system?
No — with a properly fitted, high-quality hair system, it is virtually undetectable. Modern lace and skin bases blend seamlessly with your scalp, and the hair moves and styles just like natural hair. Many celebrities and public figures wear hair systems.
What's the difference between a hair system and a wig?
A wig is designed to be put on and taken off daily. A hair system is bonded to your scalp with adhesive and worn continuously for days or weeks at a time. Hair systems are thinner, lighter, and more natural-looking than wigs. You sleep, shower, exercise, and live normally while wearing one.
Will a hair system damage my existing hair?
No. Hair systems sit on top of your scalp and don't interfere with existing hair follicles. The adhesive bonds to your skin, not your hair. If you have some remaining hair in the coverage area, a professional can blend it with the system.

How do I choose the right base type?
Lace: Most natural-looking, ultra-breathable. Ideal for front hairline. Lifespan: 2–4 months.
Poly (Skin): Easy to attach and clean. Great for beginners. Lifespan: 2–3 months.
Mono: Most durable, natural parting. Lifespan: 4–6 months.
Combination: Lace front + poly perimeter is the most popular choice — natural hairline with secure bonding.
How do I measure my head for a hair system?
Measure the area of hair loss from front to back and side to side. Add approximately 0.5 inches on each side for blending. We provide a detailed measurement guide with templates — contact us for a free measurement kit.
What hair density should I choose?
For the most natural look, we recommend medium-light (100%–110%) density for men and medium (110%–120%) for women. Going too thick looks unnatural. Our team can help you choose the right density based on your age and desired style.
Can I get a custom hair system?
Yes! We offer fully custom hair systems made to your exact specifications — base size, shape, material, hair type, color, density, length, curl pattern, and more. Custom orders typically take 6–8 weeks to manufacture.
Ordering & Shipping
How long does shipping take?
Stock systems ship within 1–3 business days. Standard shipping takes 7–15 business days. Express shipping (DHL/FedEx) takes 3–5 business days. Custom orders take 6–8 weeks for production plus shipping time.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes, we ship to virtually every country. Shipping costs and delivery times vary by location. Free shipping is available on orders over a certain amount — check our current promotions for details.
What is your return policy?
Stock systems can be returned within 30 days if unworn and in original condition. Custom systems cannot be returned as they are made specifically for you. If your system arrives damaged or doesn't match your order specifications, we'll replace it or issue a full refund.
Attachment & Wear
How is a hair system attached?
Hair systems are attached using medical-grade adhesive — either double-sided tape or liquid adhesive (glue). Tape is easier for beginners and provides 3–7 days of hold. Liquid adhesive provides a stronger bond lasting 2–4 weeks. Many wearers use a combination of both.
Can I install it myself?
Yes! Many of our customers install their systems at home after watching tutorials and practicing once or twice. We provide detailed installation guides on our blog. For your first time, you may want to visit a salon for a professional installation.
Can I shower and swim with a hair system?
Yes to both. With proper adhesive, you can shower daily and swim in pools or the ocean. Use lukewarm water (hot water can weaken adhesive), and rinse with fresh water after swimming in chlorine or saltwater.
Can I exercise and play sports?
Absolutely. Hair systems are designed for active lifestyles. With a good adhesive bond, you can run, lift weights, play basketball, do yoga — anything. Many professional athletes wear hair systems.
How long does a hair system last?
Depending on the base type and how well you care for it: lace bases last 2–4 months, poly bases last 2–3 months, mono bases last 4–6 months, and combination bases last 3–5 months. Proper care can significantly extend lifespan.
Care & Maintenance
How do I wash my hair system?
Use sulfate-free, paraben-free shampoo with lukewarm water. Wash every 2–3 days while wearing. Apply conditioner from mid-lengths to ends only. Air dry whenever possible. See our complete care guide for detailed instructions.
Can I color or style my hair system?
Human hair systems can be colored with semi-permanent dyes and styled with heat tools (flat iron, curling iron) at temperatures below 350°F. Always use heat protectant. We recommend ordering your system in the desired color to avoid chemical processing.
What products should I use?
Use sulfate-free shampoo, moisturizing conditioner, leave-in conditioner or argan oil, and heat protectant spray for styling. Avoid products with sulfates, parabens, and heavy silicones. See our care guide for specific product recommendations.
